Wellcare Medicare Rx Value Plus is a name found in older Part D documents. For example, Wellcare's 2026 notice for the S4802-211 contract describes consolidation into Value Script, S4802-143, effective January 1, 2026. That example does not identify every member's current coverage: use the notice sent for your specific plan.

Identify the plan you actually have
Check your current member card and enrollment confirmation. Match the full plan name, contract identifier, region and effective year to the Evidence of Coverage. If an old online article still promises Value Plus benefits, do not treat those promises as your current contract.
Read the transition notice in order
- Find the old and new plan identifiers and the change's effective date.
- Compare monthly premiums and any deductible.
- Review cost-sharing tiers and the current formulary with your pharmacy or prescriber.
- Check participating pharmacies and preferred cost-sharing status.
- Save the plan's contact information and written enrollment instructions.
Do not judge the change by the premium alone
A different plan name can come with changes to deductibles, pharmacy costs and coverage rules. An unchanged premium does not mean every other benefit stayed the same. Ask for an individualized annual cost comparison using the current documents rather than a generic example.
If a pharmacy transaction is rejected, ask which coverage rule or enrollment detail caused it. You or your prescriber can request a coverage determination or an exception when appropriate. A denial notice explains appeal rights; a rejected transaction alone is not the complete appeal decision.
Before choosing a replacement
Confirm that you have an available enrollment period and the proposed start date. Review employer or retiree coverage with its administrator first. Keep copies of notices and confirmations so a plan change does not leave you relying on an outdated card or an assumption about continuing benefits.
