Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan's Medicare Plus Blue PPO dental coverage should be checked by exact plan and year. The base dental benefit and an optional additional-benefit package are not the same thing. An optional package is not automatically active just because you have the medical plan.
Read the base and optional schedules separately
The 2026 supplemental brochure describes an additional-premium package and separates dental categories according to the underlying Medicare Plus Blue plan. Some procedures included in one plan's base benefit appear differently in another plan's supplemental schedule.
Confirm whether you enrolled in the optional package, its effective date and premium. Do not combine amounts from different plans or years to calculate an allowance that does not exist in your contract.

Request a written estimate with procedure codes for dentures, implants or other major services. Verify any authorization and replacement limits. Coverage of one stage does not approve every optional material or related charge.
