eHealth is a licensed insurance agency, not a federal Medicare program or a single health insurance plan. Coverage obtained through an agency is issued by the insurer named in the actual policy. That insurer's contract determines benefits and claims.

Who does what?
| Organization | Role |
|---|---|
| Insurance agency | Helps compare and apply for represented products. |
| Insurance company | Issues the coverage and administers its benefits. |
| Medicare | Provides program information, rules and official comparison tools. |
| Social Security | Handles many Original Medicare enrollment tasks. |
Check what is being compared
Ask which companies and products are included for your location. An agency website is not necessarily a complete list of every available option. Medicare.gov and SHIP provide additional ways to review choices and obtain independent assistance.
Identify the coverage category
Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and stand-alone Part D are different arrangements. Do not compare them solely by the advertised monthly premium. Check how the product works with Original Medicare, which benefits it provides and whether your enrollment situation permits the application.
Before you apply
- Save the exact insurer, plan name and coverage year.
- Review the coverage document and total costs.
- Confirm important doctors and facilities.
- Check effects on employer or union benefits.
- Keep enrollment confirmation and the effective date.
A quote, account registration or request for a callback is not proof that coverage has started. If you already have a policy, use the verified insurer contact on your card for benefit decisions and claim questions.
Protect your information
Read contact and privacy permissions before submitting a form, and verify who will receive your details. MedicareABC is a separate insurance agency. This explanation does not imply affiliation with eHealth or promise the benefits of any unnamed policy.
