Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)
CalPERS’s three PPO plans, PersCare, PERS Choice, and PERS Select, are switching to two plans, PERS Platinum and PERS Gold. The change is the result of a one-year analysis to stabilize the baseline portfolio, including working with members, employers, and stakeholders. The two PPO plans offer a stronger distinction in terms of performance design, networking, and premium pricing.
